(314) 500-HURTThe topic of bikes and cycling has come up a lot in the office this week.
….which if you think about it, it’s a really weird topic to come up in December.
One of the many things I love about our hometown is how accessible it is for cyclists. And that’s largely thanks to
the Great Rivers Greenway project.
The project serves St. Louis City, St. Louis County, and St. Charles County, and seeks to find safe ways to travel
around the area for cyclists and pedestrians.
With well over 100 miles of trails completed already, and 200 more in development, There’s bound to be a trail near
you. In fact, there’s one trail already near our office (The Mississippi Greenway), with another on the way (The Brickline Greenway).
So, the next nice weekend day we have, it might just be time to dust off the bike and go for a ride!
But first, two questions: What happened to lime bikes? Have you ever seen a bike with a steering wheel?
This year, many things are starting to feel like they are finally returning to normal.
We were psyched to finally able to bring back our Bikes For Kids effort this fall.
If you’re not familiar with Bikes For Kids, we ask the community to nominate fantastic kids from our community. And
wow, we’ve met some amazing kids so far this fall!
Earlier this fall, we met Kavi, who overcame his struggles with autism to begin thriving in school, and Joseph, who
helped his family overcome a period of homelessness.
Last week, we had the chance to meet Amari, who loves riding bikes so much, that he learned how to fix bikes, so that
he could keep his old bike functional enough to ride!
You can watch our videos about Joseph and Amari below.
So, what’s next for Bikes for Kids? We’re ending 2022 with a bang! Our Bikes For Kids Holiday promotion aims to give
away not one, but two bikes! If you know of a great kid in the St Louis area who deserves to be featured in our next
Bikes for Kids promotion, nominate them here before December 15th, 2022!
