Game of Throne fans, Winter is almost here, but we will have to wait until 2019 to see winter fall on Westeros. In the meantime, though, here’s an exciting update: the Game of Thrones Prequel is in the works!
The prequel is based 10,000 years before the story line of the current series and follows the lives of the First Men in the Age of Heroes and their descent into the Long Night. So we will get a look at the ancestors of the families we all know and love…and love to hate: the Targaryans, Starks, and Lannisters can all be found in this spinoff series.
There is some beef between the series writer George RR Martin and the HBO producers as to the shows title. Martin is adamant that the prequel be called “The Long Night,” after the much fabled period when the White Walkers roamed Westeros. But HBO has other ideas. So fans will have to stay tuned to find out.
Speaking of George RR Martin, ever hear about the bowling alley he bought for a group of artists to turn into the art worlds hottest experiment? Talk about diversified investments. Check out these pictures from Meow Wolf, a Martin funded establishment, in Santa Fe. And check out this trailer for the documentary about Meow Wolf coming out later this month.
