I mentioned in my last newsletter that I had a goal of shooting 100 new videos for the firm this year. While that
might sound like a little bit of a lofty goal, you might already know that we have several hundred videos already up
on our YouTube channel, so 100 isn’t out of reach.
What I didn’t specify was what kind of videos they’d be. Recently, my friend Tyson inspired me to try using
short-form videos, like Reels and TikToks.
It’s honestly a great way to get information out there quickly, and it can reach a ton of people easily. So, this
year, we’ve begun creating these videos, and putting them out across several sites.
One thing I didn’t expect when I began shooting these videos is how different of an experience it is than shooting
YouTube videos.
I love to jam pack my YouTube videos with as much great information as possible, but that doesn’t always work on
platforms like Reels.
What I’ve found works best for me so far is to distill all of that content into quick, easy to digest nuggets of
information. It’s definitely felt different shooting these videos, but I’m having a blast doing them!
