St Louis Personal Injury Lawyer Mike Singer, Looking Back and Looking Forward

Rodney: All right. I’m here with Mike Singer, one of our attorneys. So Mike, I heard you settled a case in your first
week as an attorney.

Mike: Yeah, 2017 was a great year for me. I became official. I’m a licensed attorney now, and I was very fortunate in
getting to intern with Burger Law and learn so much from Gary and all the other attorneys here that as soon as I was
licensed I was able to hit the ground running and get a great result for our clients. So, I’ve had a great experience
here at Burger Law, and it’s really great to learn from so many great people.

Rodney: All right. So, tell me about what you’ve had going on for the first week of 2018.

Mike: Well, you know, it’s been a busy year. We’re still fighting to settle a lot of cases for clients that are real
close to settling, and then on top of that a lot of our bigger cases are now getting very heated. Our opioid cases, we’ve got a lot of motions and different things going on
there, and Gary also has a class action trial in two months that I know the office has been working really hard to
support him on. It’s been a busy year, and it’s looking like it’s going to be a fast-moving 2018.

Rodney: Going back to 2017, after the first week, what other good stuff did you get done in 2017?

Mike: Well, of course it’s exciting as soon as you become a lawyer because I got to appear in court for the first time.
I’ve gotten to argue motions. I’ve gotten to observe and participate in depositions and other things, so a lot of firsts
for me happened in 2017 and I think that’s going to continue on through this year.

Rodney: All right. You settled almost 20 cases. Do you think you should maybe be Rookie of the Year for 2017?

Mike: I don’t think that’s fair because we have so many great people here. I would feel bad kind of taking that title.
We have just great attorneys and just great support staff, and everything I’ve done I couldn’t have done without the
help of everybody else, and I know everyone else feels the same way. We have a great team here at Burger Law and I know
our clients appreciate it.

Rodney: And, what are you most looking forward to going forward into 2018?

Mike: Well, I’m looking forward like I said to all those new firsts: getting my chance to argue bigger motions, take my
own depositions and, who knows, maybe even try a case. So, we’ll see what this year brings and I know I’m very excited
for it and so does everyone else.
