When settling big cases, you're bound to get noticed, and the media has once again noticed the Missouri Corrections Officer case - this time that we are putting checks in the hands of the brave corrections officers we represented. We're seeing new stories pouring in every day, but I wanted to share a few of my favorites so far.
We had a great feature done on us in the St Louis Post Dispatch, which also appeared on their companion site, STLToday. I also had a great interview with Hunter Walterman of KOMU 8, the NBC affiliate station in Columbia/Jefferson City. Since then, we've seen a number of stories pop up, from local news stations in St. Louis and Kansas City to statewide publications.
The good thing about these stories and the coverage on this case is that it has been focused on the officers, our clients. In all the interviews, I very intentionally and consistently talk about the hard work and dedication of the largest officer force in the state.
Keeping the focus on the clients and how they have been treated honors my clients and keeps my role in the case in proper perspective.
While it's fantastic that we were featured in so many news publications, that's not why we're here. We're here to seek justice and zealously represent our clients, and that's exactly what we provided for Missouri's corrections officers. At the end of the day, that's what really matters.
