(314) 500-HURTAt the end of the year and around the holidays, I try to slow down and reflect on the previous year, be grateful, and to think about the next year. So, if you’ll indulge me for a moment, I’d like to do just that.
2022 was a good year for Burger Law and me personally.
We finally achieved justice for the brave Missouri Corrections officers! We’ve been battling that case for over a decade, and finally got to put checks in the hands of corrections officers last month. We’ve also been victorious in a ton of other cases this year.
We also had a record setting year for our intake team, where we set both a single month record and an annual record for most new cases signed.
We’ve also added some new energy to our firm with new team members, like Grant and Joe, and our brand new team members, Cheyenne and Jean (who I’ll introduce to you soon). Overall, we’ve lucky to have had a good year.
But what good is running a successful business if you can’t do some good in the world while you’re at it?
This year, we’ve done a variety of things to help our community. We’ve restarted our signature philanthropic effort Bikes For Kids, given away scholarships, made larger charitable donations to
organizations, like Gateway Pet Guardians, Legal Services of Eastern Missouri, and more.
We’ve shown up when we were needed, both in small ways, like having firm volunteer events, fostering dogs and getting them adopted, speaking at a Girl Scouts meeting, or in bigger ways, like shutting down the entire office for an afternoon to volunteer at an animal rescue.
Now, I’m not foolish enough to think I could do all this on my own – I’m fortunate enough to work with an amazing team of good people, doing all of the right things, for all the right reasons.
I’ve had the pleasure of working with great people across the legal sector, that have pushed me to grow. And of course, my amazing family, who are both my best supporters and biggest inspiration. So, to everyone who had a hand in our success this year, you have my deepest and most sincere gratitude.
So, I guess that leaves us at the future. What does the future hold for Burger Law?
Well, the more things change, the more they stay the same (to quote Rush, Circumstances). We’re going to build on the successes that we’ve had this year, and keep pushing. Our marketing and intake teams will keep finding new ways to connect with even more people to help them, and our legal teams will keep fighting harder for our clients.
While this may have been a banner year for us, we’re not about to get comfortable. Onward to an amazing 2023!
