My team and I are always hard at work on cases. Every time I turn around, I’m in mediation, in court trying cases,
taking depositions, meeting with our team, I’m on the phone with clients or opposing council, you name it. While I
always push my team and myself for excellence for our clients, it always catches me a little off guard when I get
recognized for what I do every day.
A couple of weeks ago, I was recognized with the 2023 AV Preeminent rating from the Martindale-Hubbell Peer
Review. If you’re not familiar, that means that other lawyers rated me at the “highest level of professional
excellence for [my] legal expertise, communication skills, and ethical standards.”
This past weekend, I learned that I was also recognized with the 2023 AV Preeminent rating from the
Martindale-Hubbell Judicial Review. This one, as the name might imply, means that a panel of judges also
rated me at the highest level for legal expertise, communication skills, and ethical standards.
While I am so incredibly thankful to my peers as well as our local judicial community for their recognition, the
bottom line is I’m just here fulfilling my promises. I made a promise when I became a lawyer that I renew every
time I take a new client, that I will always continue to fight for justice. I’ve been fulfilling that promise
for over 30 years, and I’ll be back in my office tomorrow, doing the exact same thing.
